Year 2 Spelling Bee
Today Year 2 took part in our very first spelling bee with our Four School partnership. We were excited but a little bit nervous! All the children from the four schools did brilliantly. Thank you St Werburgh's for hosting the competition.
However, we performed fantastically and after some very tricky spellings we won the competition.
Here are some pictures of us taking part.

Year 2 Growing wow day!
As our new topic is all about growing, on Thursday Year 2 had a fantastic day learning all about growing. We planted seeds, made fruit salad, planted some trees and observed the tadpoles in our pond.
We made a delicious fruit salad with some of our favourite fruits.
What do you think we spotted in the pond?

Bristol Docks Trip
Year 2 went on a fantastic trip to Bristol Docks. We learnt so much about Bristol and its past.
During the ferry boat ride we saw The Matthew, SS Great Britain, loads of bridges, ducks, house boats and amazingly a family of peregrine falcons!
We stopped to take a closer look at The Matthew, it was exciting to see Cabot's boat up close.
Christina's mum helped us find places on the huge M Shed map.
All of us enjoyed a pretend ride on the old Bristol Bus.
Most of us were pretty nervous walking over the Suspension Bridge but we loved it!
We made it across and enjoyed the fantastic views across Bristol.
